The repetition of arches in this painting make a mesmerizing, portal-like composition. The candle flames connected by these bends in space represent the clandestine, synchronistic, eternal love we can have for another soul — something that imprints through time and reaches beyond physical our reality. The flame is a symbol I use often, usually to represent inner emotion or consciousness, while the stars and arch motif express the infinite, collapsing the past, present, and future into one plane. I’d like to think that I’ve infused my own magic into this one.
